Young Satyr Wearing a Theater Mask, ca. 1st century CE
A downloadable 3D model
You've always wanted to take home the famous Statue of a Young Satyr Wearing a Theater Mask of Silenos, ca. 1st century CE at the Art Institute of Chicago. Now, finally, he can be yours, and he's new and improved with delicately executed, glorious bright colors.
Video game technology allows works traditionally held in institutions to be copied, hacked, and satirized. The iconic Statue of a Young Satyr Wearing a Theater Mask of Silenos (ca. 1st century CE) resides in the Ancient and Byzantine Art section of the Art Institute of Chicago. Now he exists as a low-poly 3D file for your enjoyment. The unpainted version is also available, so you can give him a makeover of your own.
This is a low-poly version of a sculpt I did in 2018 using Cinema 4D. Improvements were made in 2020 using zBrush and Substance Painter. Free to use in games and other 3D endeavors, just let me know what you do with him.
